Schedules & Teachings Blessings & Ceremonies Tibetan Projects Ask the Rinpoche

The Main Temple at Rahob, seen here at left, is always active. Intense religious practice, large ceremonies, and many important festivals take place in and around the main temple. The villagers barter goods to repair the building and the clergy work to maintain it. Funds for a new roof donated by Rahob Foundation, have helped to preserve many old texts, thankas, wall frescos and large statues housed in the Main Temple building. The building has five pitched roofs of various sizes, making this project complicated but necessary.

"The act of giving belongs to those who
give with a good intention. It is the
intention of the giving which reflects the
nature of our mind, not the giving."
Thupten Kalsang, Rinpoche
